Lot 115:
Description
This vintage costume jewellery piece features a series of hand-knotted, spherical beads that appear to be composed of marbled glass. The beads display a striking colour palette of seafoam green, vibrant orange, black, and white swirls, arranged in a graduated fashion with the largest beads situated at the centre focal point. The necklace is constructed on a light-coloured knotted cord and terminates in a cylindrical screw-barrel clasp, which appears to be composed of base metal or an early synthetic material. There are no visible hallmarks, maker’s marks, or purity stamps. The style is indicative of mid-20th-century costume jewellery. Weight and measurements are not available.
