Description
A fine Royal Doulton porcelain vase of slender ovoid form, dating to the Art Nouveau period. The body features a hand-painted Flow Blue iris motif against a cream-coloured ground, further enhanced by delicate gold-sponged highlights and a flared gilded rim. The lower section is defined by a deep cobalt blue band decorated with an intricate, repeating gilt floral pattern. The underside bears the green Royal Doulton England transfer mark with a lion atop a crown, alongside the hand-painted pattern number C 8288 and artist’s initials HP. Height: approximately 8.5 inches.
