Description
An antique bed warming pan of traditional form, featuring a circular copper body with ornate cast brass fittings. The lid is secured by a decorative cast brass hinge featuring a scroll and fleur-de-lis motif, complemented by a smaller matching brass pull-ring at the base. The pan is joined to a long, turned dark hardwood handle, likely mahogany, by a textured brass ferrule. This piece represents a classic example of domestic metalware from the 19th century, designed for pre-heating linens. Total length approximately 38 inches.
