Lot 184:
Description
A large copper and mixed-metal tea kettle of globular form, constructed with a prominent central horizontal seam. The vessel features a fixed high-arched handle mounted on decorative brass brackets and is fitted with a domed, stepped lid topped with a cast brass finial. The lid bears a clear circular stamped maker’s mark containing Arabic script, indicating regional manufacture likely from the late 19th or early 20th century. The kettle is equipped with a traditional gooseneck spout. The piece displays characteristic hand-wrought assembly techniques common to North African or Middle Eastern metalware. Height: approximately 14 inches to the top of the handle.
