Description
This is a decorative walking stick handle or cane topper cast in the form of a human skull. The piece is manufactured from a heavy, dark-patinated metal, likely bronze or a similar copper alloy, featuring an integrated cylindrical mounting socket at the base for attachment to a wooden shaft. The sculpture displays stylised anatomical features including deep-set orbital sockets, a hollow nasal cavity, and a prominent row of teeth. The design draws inspiration from traditional Memento Mori motifs and Victorian novelty canes. There are no visible maker’s marks, brand names, or serial numbers.
