The casing is finished in a silver-toned plating, likely chromium, featuring a classic engine-turned barleycorn pattern. The base is struck with the Polo manufacturer mark, a polo player icon, MADE IN ENGLAND, and PATENTED. This style of lift-arm mechanism was a hallmark of mid-century English smoking accessories, often associated with the Orlik company.
