Lot 25:
Description
This original mid-20th century souvenir presentation box was produced for the Butlin’s Holiday Club. The square exterior is crafted from silver-toned metal, likely chrome or silver plate, featuring an elegant Art Deco-influenced engine-turned linear design across the lid. Centrally mounted is a vibrant enamel emblem depicting the iconic jolly holidaymaker mascot standing above a red banner with the text BUTLIN’S HOLIDAY CLUB. The interior base is lined with cedar wood, suggesting its use as a cigarette or tobacco box, while the underside of the lid reveals a brass-toned metal finish and the original securing nut for the emblem. Dimensions: Approximately 3.5 inches square.
