Description
An Art Deco opalescent glass bowl by Verlys, France, circa 1930s. The bowl features a moulded relief design to the underside depicting wild geese in flight amongst berries and foliage. The glass displays a deep electric blue opalescence against a translucent ground, a hallmark of high-quality French art glass from this period. The design is typical of the Verlys Wild Geese pattern. Authentic examples are usually signed Verlys France to the centre. Diameter approximately 30.5 cm.
