Description
A Chinese export polychrome decorated porcelain vase, dating to the 19th century, late Qing Dynasty. The vessel features a flared, scalloped rim above a waisted neck flanked by two applied Buddhist lion-dog handles. The ovoid body is further embellished with four applied chilong dragons at the shoulders. The exterior is hand-painted in overglaze enamels, featuring alternating vertical panels. These panels depict various traditional motifs including floral sprays, birds perched amongst foliage, and goldfish swimming amidst aquatic plants. The base is unmarked. Height: Approximately 14 inches.
