Lot 47:
Description
This item is a vintage lithographed tin clock work toy car, designed as a stylised sedan reminiscent of a late 1940s Studebaker. While unmarked, the construction and design are consistent with small-scale tin toys produced in Japan or by American manufacturers such as Louis Marx & Co. during the late 1940s to 1950s. The toy features a bright lime-green lithographed body with detailed window graphics showing passengers. It is constructed with a tin-plate body and base, fitted with four hard rubber or plastic wheels. The vehicle is powered by an internal friction-drive motor, visible through a slot in the base plate. No original packaging is present.
