Description
This impressive, large-scale automobilia piece depicts an early open-cockpit racing car in a style synonymous with the Golden Age of Grand Prix racing, specifically evocative of a 1920s Bugatti Type 35. The car features a prominent horseshoe-shaped radiator, moulded bonnet louvres, and external exhaust pipe detailing. Seated in the cockpit is a fixed driver figure in period-correct racing attire, including a leather-style cap and goggles. The model is constructed from heavy cast metal and is fitted with four wire-spoke wheels with composite rubber-style tyres. While unsigned, this piece is a later decorative reproduction of a vintage racer, serving as a substantial display item for an automotive enthusiast. Transcription: 45 (on orange sticker). Date: Mid-20th Century. Manufacturer: Unsigned. Length: 22 inches, Height: 14 inches, Width: 9 inches.
