Lot 82:
Description
This lot comprises two decorative metalware objects of Chinese origin. The first is a circular cloisonne enamel bowl, likely mid-20th century, featuring a central polychrome floral blossom on a reddish-brown ground, surrounded by dense floral motifs in the Thousand Flowers style and a ruyi-head border. The enamel is applied within brass wirework in a scale pattern, with the underside finished in solid cobalt blue enamel and a brass foot ring. The second item is a cast brass vase of archaic baluster form with twin loop handles. The body is decorated with relief-cast bands of geometric key fret (leiwen) and stylised zoomorphic patterns. Both pieces exhibit traditional motifs consistent with the late Qing to Republic period style. No maker marks are visible. Bowl diameter approximately 20.3 centimetres (8 inches); Vase height approximately 22.8 centimetres (9 inches).
