Description
A collection of four Chinese cloisonne enamel decorative objects, likely dating from the mid-to-late 20th century. Each piece is constructed on a brass or bronze base with gilded rims and features intricate wirework cells (cloisonne) filled with multi-coloured enamels, rather than carved champleve channels. The set includes a hexagonal lidded urn with an iron-red ground and white lobed medallions depicting four and five-clawed dragons; a large hexagonal box with a black ground featuring peony blossoms and songbirds; a round box with a cobalt blue ground decorated with the traditional Dragon and Pearl motif; and a small hexagonal box with a dark red ground depicting the Fenghuang (Phoenix). All pieces feature turquoise or royal blue counter-enamel to the interiors and bases. Dimensions: Urn height approx. 12.5 cm; Large box width approx. 7.5 cm; Round box width approx. 6 cm; Small box height approx. 6.5 cm.
