Description
Two decorative metal objects of Asian influence. The first is a cast brass incense burner, or censer, comprising a globular body decorated with floral and scrollwork motifs in high relief. The vessel is supported by three beast-mask tripod feet and features two dragon-head handles. It includes a removable reticulated lid with scrollwork piercing, topped with a Shishi finial. The second item is a cast Bronzel figurine of a crane or heron with outspread wings, standing on a circular base with a serpent-like form at the feet. Neither item displays visible maker’s marks or signatures.
Censer height: 3.75 inches
Bird figurine height: 4.5 inches
Condition report:
Both items are in good overall condition, displaying an aged patina and minor surface wear consistent with age and handling. No visible cracks, losses, or restorations.
