Description
This large decorative figural sculpture depicts two female figures in classical-style flowing drapery. The composition features the figures with their inner arms raised and joined at a central point, which terminates in a small socket. One figure is depicted carrying a basket of fruit. The piece is crafted from a cast material with a patinated gold and bronze-toned metallic finish. The sculpture is set upon an oval base adorned with a moulded repeating scroll-pattern border. The styling exhibits a Neo-Classical influence. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
