Description
A carved figurine depicting a seated Budai, also known as the Laughing Buddha, rendered in a traditional East Asian style. The piece is fashioned from a cream-coloured material with an aged appearance, featuring a jovial expression, an exposed belly, and prayer beads held in the right hand. The recessed areas of the carving are darkened to highlight the details of the flowing robes. The underside has a rough, dark-brown stained finish and includes an incised mark resembling a stylised character or the letter A.
