Lot 107:
Description
A set of Roe Deer (Capreolus capreolus) antlers featuring six points, with three tines per side. The antlers display heavy pearling at the coronets and a natural patination. The specimen is mounted on a partial skull cap, which is fixed to a dark-stained, shield-shaped wooden plaque. This configuration is typical of European hunting trophies. No maker marks or labels are present.
Condition report:
The antlers appear structurally sound with no visible damage to the tines. The bone and antlers show natural ageing and surface patination. The wooden plaque has a prominent vertical split extending from the bottom edge towards the centre.
