Lot 122:
Description
A double vinyl LP compilation by The Beatles, titled 1962-1966 and commonly known as the Red Album. The front cover features the Angus McBean photograph of the band members looking down the stairwell at EMI House in London. The title is printed at the top centre in a bold, italicised font. A circular gold retail sticker is affixed to the top right corner, printed with the text Special Double Album Set £3.99. This edition is a United Kingdom pressing, first released in 1973, with this specific copy likely dating from the mid-1970s based on the retail price point. The sleeve is constructed of laminated card with a red border.
Condition report:
The outer sleeve shows signs of age and handling wear. Significant bumping and scuffing are present at all four corners, with the most notable wear at the top left and top right. Visible shelf wear and rubbing are evident along the top edge. There is a prominent vertical crease and indentation in the bottom right quadrant of the front cover. General surface marking, light scuffing, and minor laminate lifting are visible across the front, particularly on the white and red border areas. The vinyl discs have not been inspected and their condition is not graded.
