Lot 131:
Description
A Squier by Fender Affinity Series Stratocaster electric guitar featuring a double-cutaway contoured body with a gloss black finish. The instrument is constructed with a bolt-on maple neck including a skunk stripe on the reverse and a large 1970s-style headstock. The rosewood fingerboard is fitted with 21 frets and white dot position inlays. The electronics configuration consists of three single-coil pickups mounted on a white three-ply pickguard, controlled by a five-way selector switch, one volume knob, and two tone knobs. The hardware is chrome-finished and includes a six-saddle synchronised tremolo bridge and enclosed die-cast tuners. The headstock face is marked with the Squier, by Fender, and STRAT logos, with the edge marked Affinity SERIES. The chrome-finished neck plate is stamped with the Squier script logo. The guitar is accompanied by a black hardshell case with a plush-lined interior, three individual Ernie Ball string packets in gauges 11, 16, and 42, a small bag containing miscellaneous wiring and parts, and a plastic pitch pipe tuner.
Condition report:
The instrument is in used condition and is currently unstrung. The body shows surface dust and fingerprints consistent with handling. The face of the headstock exhibits visible spotting and minor staining to the timber around the tuning pegs. Surface oxidation and light corrosion are present on the bridge saddles and various screws. The original volume knob has been replaced with a non-matching black plastic component. The tremolo arm is missing. The hardshell case shows external wear, scuffing, and signs of use. The electronics have not been tested. A professional setup and restringing are recommended.
