Each piece features a central transfer-printed botanical illustration accompanied by various insects, finished with the pattern signature laurel leaf border. The collection consists of 21 pieces including dinner plates featuring Amaryllis Reginae (Mexican Lily), dessert or salad plates featuring Lathyrus Odoratus (Sweet Pea), and side plates featuring Colchicum (Meadow Saffron). The set further includes a square serving dish and a shallow bowl or plate both featuring Rosa Canina (Dog Rose), cereal or fruit bowls featuring Narcissus Minimus (Small Narcissus), and small ramekins or dipping bowls featuring a blue flowering variety of Primula Villosa. The items bear three distinct generations of authentic Portmeirion backstamps. The first is a green oval stamp containing the text Portmeirion Pottery Stoke on Trent Made in England. The third mark features an oval leaf border containing Portmeirion above the text Quality by Design for Life, botanic garden, by Susan Williams-Ellis, and Made in Britain.
