Wooden items feature a black lacquered box with mother-of-pearl inlay depicting birds and flowering branches, a box with a printed Cyprus Historical Map, and a marquetry box with stylized dragon designs. A dark wood box contains a brass plaque stating it is a genuine miniature reproduction of old English furniture made by expert British craftsmen. Further wooden items include a square box with deep-relief floral carving and a smaller floral carved box. Metalware consists of a large silver-plated brass casket with a domed lid and repoussé architectural motifs, a cast white-metal trinket box with a high-relief rose design, and an etched brass box with geometric patterns. A rectangular box constructed from polished banded onyx panels is held within a gilt-metal frame.
Largest circular tin: 25 cm diameter. Edward VIII tin: 15 cm height.
Condition report:
Items show signs of age-related wear. Metal components exhibit oxidation and wear to silver plating, particularly on the large casket where the underlying brass is visible. The black lacquered box has visible cracking to the finish and adhesive tape residue. Tins show various scuffs, surface scratches, and minor indentations consistent with age and use.
