Description

A diverse collection of 19th and 20th-century items comprising hand tools, measuring instruments, horology, and various household collectibles. The tool selection includes a wooden block plane, several iron wrenches, a wooden-handled awl, a hand-held vice, and a modern folding multi-tool in a textile pouch. Measuring instruments feature two pairs of Vernier calipers, one marked Draper Stainless Hardened. Industrial items include a cylindrical copper sprayer with a brass pump mechanism and nozzle. The horological section contains a mid-20th-century Westclox Baby Ben alarm clock with a black dial and Arabic numerals, made in Scotland, and a small Haller brass-cased mantel clock made in Germany. Household items include two graduated brass pans with long black-painted iron handles, a wooden-backed stiff-bristle brush, two decorative hand fans, and various bottle corks with ceramic or metal stoppers. Collectibles feature a boxed Lledo promotional die-cast vehicle, a Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd brass badge, and cigarette card sets by Players and Wills titled Wonders of the Past. A silver-toned metal flask is embossed with intricate mythical beast motifs. Leather goods include a large patinated document satchel with a metal clasp and a smaller dark brown pouch.

Condition report:

Items are in fair to good vintage condition consistent with age. Metal tools and instruments show varying degrees of surface oxidation and rust. Leather items exhibit significant wear, surface cracking, and heavy patination. The Westclox and Haller clocks are untested for working order. The Lledo die-cast model remains in its original cardboard and cellophane packaging.
