Description
A sterling silver cocktail ring featuring a single pear-cut amber cabochon. The stone is secured in a rub-over setting and is characterised by natural internal inclusions. The mount is designed with flowing, organic-style wirework that extends to form decorative shoulders. The inner shank is stamped with a 925 fineness mark indicating sterling silver, alongside indistinct smaller marks. The design reflects mid-to-late 20th-century Modernist influences.
Condition report:
The ring is in good vintage condition with a dark patina to the silver, particularly within the recessed areas of the wirework. The amber cabochon is secure and exhibits minor surface wear. The band is slightly out of round.
