Description
A trio of vintage mohair soft toys, attributed to premium mid-20th-century manufacturers Steiff. The collection comprises a recumbent lioness or cub, standing Peggy penguin, and a small shaggy-coated dog. The lioness is crafted from golden-tan mohair and features green and black glass eyes, a red-toned stitched nose, monofilament whiskers, and stitched paw details. The standing penguin is the Steiff Peggy model, features a cream-coloured body with grey flippers, black head markings, and a red felt beak. The small dog, possibly a Pekinese or Spaniel breed, is made from long-pile light brown
Condition report:
The toys exhibit signs of age and play-wear consistent with vintage items. The penguin shows significant mohair thinning and loss, particularly on the chest and flippers. The lioness and dog show general fur matting, light thinning, and minor surface discolouration. No original boxes or third-party grading labels are present.
