Description
A Tiffany-style flush-mount ceiling light fixture featuring a circular, bowl-shaped shade. The shade is constructed from multiple panels of vibrantly coloured stained glass using the copper foil technique. The design consists of a repeating pattern of stylized, swirled petal-like segments in translucent red and green glass, accented by small sections of mottled blue glass. These decorative elements are set against a ground of opalescent cream-coloured glass panels. The shade is held within a broad, circular metal frame with an antiqued brass finish, secured by small spherical metal studs. The lead solder lines are finished with a dark patina. No maker marks, labels, or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The item appears to be in good vintage condition. The lead solder lines are dark and consistent. There is some minor surface wear and oxidation visible on the metal rim, typical of age. A small red filament or thread is visible on the surface of one of the red glass panels. No chips or cracks to the glass are immediately apparent.
