Description
This lot consists of an assortment of costume jewellery and wristwatches representing a variety of late 20th-century and contemporary styles. The collection includes three wristwatches: a rectangular gold-tone watch with a link bracelet, an oval gold-tone watch with a rigid hinged bangle-style bracelet, and a silver-tone fashion watch with an integrated link bracelet. The selection of necklaces features a heavy gold-tone curb-link chain, a flat gold-tone chain, a two-tone braided metal chain, a gunmetal-tone link chain, and a black-and-white cord necklace with a circular clasp. Two pendants are included: a circular silver-tone Tree of Life design set with small gemstone chips and a silver-tone cross set with clear stones. Two brooches are featured: an oval gold-tone example with a blue glass cabochon and an oval brooch with a mottled green stone centre surrounded by a border of clear stones. The collection also contains four rings: a gold-tone signet ring with diagonal texturing, a wide silver-tone band set with pink stones, a gold-tone cluster ring with clear stones, and a gold-tone ring with a blue stone. Materials comprise base metals with gold-tone and silver-tone plated finishes, glass, and synthetic stones. While markings are present on the watch faces and jewellery components, they are not clearly legible for attribution.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition with visible signs of wear consistent with age. There is tarnishing and rubbing to the gold-tone plating, particularly on the watch bracelets and heavier chains. Minor surface scratches are present on the metal components and watch crystals. No stones appear to be missing from the settings. The wristwatches are untested for mechanical functionality and are sold as seen.
