Description
A collection of various writing instruments comprising fountain pens, ballpoint pens, and rollerballs. The lot includes a Reform Calligraph fountain pen in black resin with gold-toned trim, featuring a piston-filling system and a gold-toned nib. Also present is a white resin fountain pen in the Lamy Safari style with a characteristic black wire clip, and a blue translucent barrel pen marked Zebra. The group contains several novelty pens decorated with colourful beadwork and embroidered mirror-work in an Indian folk art style, as well as a ballpoint pen with a barrel decorated to resemble a rolled US dollar bill. A slim two-piece writing set finished in polished gold-toned metal, consisting of a ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil, is contained within a burgundy presentation box with a cream lining and a gold-coloured crest on the interior lid. Materials across the lot include resin, plastic, base metals, and embroidered fabrics.
Condition report:
The items are in mixed condition. The cased set appears well-maintained with minimal surface wear. The pens contained in the bulk bag show varying signs of use, including light surface scratches, some rubbing to the finishes, and minor brassing to the gold-toned metal components.
