Description
This lot comprises a large collection of unsorted modern and vintage trading cards. The modern section contains several hundred association football trading cards, primarily dating from the 2008 to 2010 period. Visible brands include Topps Match Attax, Upper Deck, and Futera. Notable cards identified include a Gary Neville Upper Deck True Champions card, a Nicky Butt Futera card, and a silver-foil insert featuring the names Gerrard, Rooney, and Henry. The collection includes German-market Topps Match Attax cards for clubs such as 1. FC Köln and Arsenal. The vintage component consists of a large quantity of cigarette and trade cards housed in a tin. Subjects include British military uniforms, Flags of the World, wildlife, and topographical views. Series appear to include those from Wills’s Cigarettes and Brooke Bond tea cards. The collection is accompanied by two matching square metal tins with floral motifs and printed text for P. GENTILINI and ROMA, identifying them as confectionery tins from the Pietro Gentilini bakery in Rome.
Condition report:
The collection is in unsorted condition. Modern cards show evidence of handling including corner wear and surface scratches.
