Description
An assortment of items including a student-style microscope with a black enamel finish and rack-and-pinion focusing. The collection features a Drem Justophot visual extinction exposure meter housed in a tan leather case with German dial markings, and a Gossen Sixtino light meter in its original green and white box. Horological and musical items include a Wittner Taktell metronome in a tapered black plastic case. Geological interest is represented by a substantial natural iron pyrite specimen displaying prominent cubic crystal formations. Also present is an antique French cardboard box for 100 Cachets Crampons by Blanzy Poure & Cie of Boulogne-sur-Mer. Religious and commemorative items include a red-cased diptych with a miniature crucifix and medals, and a white metal medal in a blue velvet-lined case featuring a WGC crest. Optical equipment includes two magnifying glasses and a small brass-bodied monocular. The lot is further comprised of a Swarovski presentation box, a miniature blue globe, a multi-tool pocket knife in a brown leather sheath, a gold-toned letter opener, and a silver-coloured double-ended marrow scoop.
Condition report:
The items generally appear in fair to good vintage condition. There is visible surface wear, tarnishing, and dust throughout, consistent with age and storage. The mechanical functions and optical clarity of the instruments have not been tested. The collection is sold as seen.
