Lot 176:
Description
A trio of hand-operated mechanical kitchen tools. The first item is a Triumph apple peeler and corer, featuring a cast metal frame with a blue painted finish and embossed Triumph lettering. It includes an integrated G-clamp for table mounting and two red-painted wooden handles. The second item is a three-in-one apple peeler, corer, and slicer with a green hammered-effect finish. It is fitted with an orange wooden handle and a suction-cup base with a locking lever, attributed to Back to Basics. The third item is a hand tool with a curved metal arm and an orange wooden knob, likely a jar opener or lid remover.
Triumph peeler height: approximately 36 cm
Green peeler length: approximately 23 cm.
Condition report:
The collection is in used vintage condition. The blue Triumph peeler shows significant surface oxidation and paint loss, particularly on the clamp and screw rod. The green peeler and small hand tool show minor surface wear, marks, and light scratching consistent with age and domestic use. Mechanical functionality has not been tested.
