Description
A mid-20th-century decorative figurine of a heavy draft horse and cart, manufactured in England. The horse is finished with a copper-tone iridescent lustre glaze, while the two-wheeled cart is composed of matte cream-coloured ceramic. The piece includes black-painted metal shafts, harness components, and spoked wheels. The underside of the cart body is embossed with the marks DECO, ENGLAND, the number 3, and the phrase REG DES APP FOR. The interior of the cart indicates historical use as a planter.

Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. Visible oxidation and surface rust are present on the metal shafts and wheel components. The interior of the ceramic cart shows ingrained soil residue and staining from previous use. There is minor wear to the lustre glaze on the horse’s flank and light surface marks throughout. No chips or cracks were observed.
