Description

A small German chalet-style wall-mounted cuckoo clock featuring a wooden case designed as a traditional Black Forest dwelling. The circular black dial is marked MADE IN GERMANY at the 6 o’clock position and is set with white Roman numerals and gilt-colour filigree hands. The case is decorated with a green-painted shingle-style roof, a balcony, and small applied figures of a pine tree, a deer, and mushrooms. The lower shield-shaped portion features painted oak leaves and fly agaric mushrooms. The clock is powered by a mechanical weight-driven movement and is accompanied by two cast metal pinecone-shaped weights, a set of chains, and a wooden pendulum with a carved heart motif. Also included is a guarantee booklet from M.E.T. Instrumentation Ltd.

Case width: approximately 15 cm.

Condition report:

The clock is currently disassembled with the weights, chains, and pendulum detached from the main body. The mechanical movement is untested and its working status is unknown. There is light surface wear and minor paint loss to the decorative elements consistent with age.
