Description

A collection of various vintage precision engineering and automotive diagnostic tools, including items by Oldak Gauges. The group contains an internal measuring instrument set featuring a dial indicator marked Oldak Gauges British Made, accompanied by a chrome-plated handle and multiple interchangeable measuring anvils. This set is housed in a fitted black textured case with instructional labels for measuring diameters from 2 inches up to 4 7/8 inches. Also included is an analog automotive engine analyser within a wooden case, displaying scales for dwell, volts, tachometer, amps, and ohms. Further instruments consist of a precision block level marked Made in England in its original case, and a micrometer-style torque wrench with a scale from 4 to 20 Newton-metres, serial number 2007/144825. Engineering reference material is provided by a red clothbound copy of the Mechanical World Year Book 1937. The lot also includes a pen-style multi-tool with spirit level in a metal tin, a metal vernier caliper, and a tube containing calibration records.


Condition report:

The items show signs of professional use consistent with their age, including surface wear to the storage cases and tools. Mechanical components and optical scales on the instruments appear clear and generally well-maintained. The calibration status and functional working order of the electronic and mechanical instruments have not been tested.
