Description
A vintage Linguaphone French language course (“Cours de Français”) set. The collection is housed in a grey-toned carrying case featuring a mock-reptile skin effect finish and a hinged lid. The interior of the lid is embossed with the “LINGUAPHONE” mark in gold-tone lettering. The contents include several printed folders with blue bands and numbered tabs, including ranges such as 3-6, 7-10, 15-18, 19-22, 23-26, and sections up to 49-50. Also present is an orange-covered booklet. A printed paper index label is adhered to the front interior flap, titled “LINGUAPHONE: COURS DE FRANCAIS”, providing a list of fifty lessons starting from Ma famille (Lesson 1) through to Les sons du français (Lesson 50). No audio records are visible in this lot.
Condition report:
The carrying case shows signs of wear, specifically scuffing and rubbing along the edges and corners, with light surface dirt throughout the textured surface. The internal paper goods show typical age-related toning and yellowing. Several protruding index tabs are creased or worn at the edges. The index label on the interior flap has significant foxing and staining concentrated on the left side.
