Description
A diverse collection of mid-20th century British automotive and motorcycle manuals, magazines, and associated ephemera. The lot includes a 1938 instruction book for the 2.5 Litre, 3.5 Litre, and 100 Jaguar models with a black card cover featuring the winged Jaguar logo. A blue cloth-bound hardcover instruction book, marked Number 11, for the 40/50 H.P. Rolls-Royce car Phantom II. A second edition Morris Cowley Operation Manual published by Morris Motors Limited with the BMC rosette. A Wolseley Six-Ninety Series III Operation Manual with a salmon-toned textured cover. A Morris Maintenance Service voucher book for Oxford Series II and III Cowley models, and a Wolseley Motors Ltd handbook. The periodical section comprises multiple issues of The Motor Cycle weekly magazine from 1957 and 1958 featuring BSA and Norton advertisements, and issues of Motorcycle Sport dated 1989 to 1990. Documented items include two vintage red UK driving licence booklets, an MG 159021 motor fuel ration book for cars of 1101 to 1500 C.C., and a blue folder containing various registration papers and receipts. Tax discs include a 1953 pink disc for an A.J.S. motorcycle in a metal holder, a blue 1977 disc in a metal holder, and loose discs from 2006 and 2008. Memorabilia includes a circular red and white enamel lapel badge for the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), a bronze-tone commemorative medallion for the Motor Sports Association United Kingdom MSA Euroclassic dated September 2000, and several rally stickers including Potters Wheels Rally 1976 and Devon Rally. A small dark leather-style pouch featuring a metal plate with the numeral 7 is also present.

Condition report:
The collection is in mixed condition consistent with age and practical use. The 1938 Jaguar manual exhibits significant charring and fraying along the top and left edges. The Rolls-Royce instruction book shows fading to the gold-tone lettering. Paper items, including magazines and manuals, show typical toning, foxing, and minor creasing. Metal tax disc holders display surface oxidation and light rust.
