Description
A Smiths Suntella wall clock featuring a heavy cast metal case with a decorative openwork border of foliate scrolls and acanthus motifs, finished in a bronze tone. The circular cream dial is printed with Smiths and Sectronic Battery at the centre, and Made in Great Britain at the bottom edge. The dial displays gold-tone Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions, with tapered baton indices for the remaining hours and gold-tone hands set behind a convex lens. The original battery-powered movement has been replaced with a modern black plastic battery-operated quartz movement as seen on the reverse.

Condition report:
The original Smiths Sectronic movement has been removed and replaced with a modern quartz unit. The cast metal case shows surface wear, accumulated dust, and light oxidation and pitting consistent with age. The dial and hands appear to be in good condition. The clock is in untested condition.
