A trio of Cold War era military items comprising a British Royal Marines beret, a Soviet winter field cap, and a US military canteen with cover.

The British Royal Marines beret is constructed from green wool with a black leatherette binding. It features a gold-coloured metal cap badge depicting a globe and laurel wreath surmounted by a crown. The interior lining is marked for Kangol Wear Limited, dated 1978, with NATO stock number 8405-99-571-3534 and size 7 5/8.

The Soviet winter field cap is made of khaki cotton fabric with a stiffened peak and fold-down ear flaps secured by buttons. The interior crown features a black ink factory stamp identifying manufacture in Gukovo, dated 1984, size 55.

The US military water canteen is olive drab plastic with a screw-top cap. It is housed in a matching nylon insulated cover fitted with two metal ALICE clips on the reverse. The cover is stamped with US markings, NATO stock number 8465-00-860-0259, and a 1975 contract date.

Condition report:

The items are in good used condition. The Royal Marines beret shows light pilling to the wool surface consistent with age. The Soviet winter cap shows significant signs of field use including overall staining, discolouration to the lining, and fading to the exterior fabric. The US canteen cover shows fading and light fraying to the edges, and the plastic canteen cap has surface scuffing.
