Description
A set of six miniature jointed plush teddy bears manufactured by Gund, designed by Janet Wilson, representing the principal characters from the classic story The Wizard of Oz. The ensemble includes Glinda the Good Witch, The Wizard, The Scarecrow, The Cowardly Lion, Dorothy, and the Tin Man. Each bear is constructed from short-pile tan plush fabric featuring fixed black bead eyes. The bears are dressed in their original character-specific costumes: Glinda in a pink and gold glitter tulle gown with a matching crown and wand; The Wizard in a black felt top hat, navy blue frock coat, grey waistcoat with blue buttons and a gold-tone fob chain, and chequered trousers; The Scarecrow with a green felt hat, red chequered shirt with straw-like fringe details, and brown trousers with knee patches; The Cowardly Lion distinguished by a voluminous long-pile faux-fur mane and matching tail; Dorothy wearing a blue gingham dress with red hair ribbons and carrying a small woven wicker basket; and the Tin Man in silver metallic fabric armour with a funnel-style hat.
