Description
A trio of vintage brown leather bags of various styles and textures. The collection comprises a tall rectangular satchel constructed from brown leather with a crocodile-embossed leather top flap, secured with a single brass-tone push-lock closure and featuring a rigid top handle with brass rivets and expandable gusseted sides. Also included is a traditional flap-front briefcase made from dark brown textured, heavy-grained leather, fitted with dual brass-tone push-lock closures, a rigid wrapped leather handle, and two large front pockets positioned under the main flap. Completing the lot is a framed Gladstone-style doctor’s bag in brown leather with a fine linear grain, featuring an internal metal frame with a central leather tab closure and a stitched leather top handle.

Gladstone Bag: 46 cm width.
Condition report:
The bags show signs of age and significant use throughout. The smooth leather on the satchel has visible surface scratches and there is tarnishing to the brass-tone hardware. The briefcase exhibits significant wear and darkening to the wrapped top handle, with scuffing to the edges and corners and tarnish on the push-locks. The Gladstone bag shows noticeable scuffing and loss of finish at the lower corners, heavy wear and surface cracking on the stitched leather handle, and general surface marks throughout.
