Description
A vintage British Hub Co. (B.H.) Airlite rear bicycle hub, manufactured in Birmingham, United Kingdom. This component features an alloy shell with a barrel centre and is designed as a double-sided flip-flop hub. One side of the hub is machined with stepped threading for a fixed sprocket and lockring, while the reverse side features standard threading for a single-speed freewheel. The assembly includes a steel axle with original hex nuts and washers. The barrel of the hub is stamped with the circular B.H. logo. The hub is contained within its original clear plastic protective sleeve and is accompanied by the original manufacturer’s cardboard box featuring green and yellow printed graphics including the Airlite model name and the text Internationally Famous Racing Hubs.

Axle length: 17.5 cm.
Condition report:
The hub is in New Old Stock (NOS) condition. The alloy shell retains a mirror-like lustre with negligible signs of shelf wear. The axle threads and hardware are clean and appear unused. The original cardboard box is in poor to fair condition, displaying significant structural wear including tearing, crushing, and loss of shape. The printed graphics on the box show fading and surface staining.
