Description
A collection of English soft toys comprising various teddy bears and a rabbit, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. The group includes a large golden mohair teddy bear featuring five-way jointing, amber-coloured glass eyes, and vertically stitched brown wool nose and mouth details. Also included is a textured brown bear with a curly mohair coat and jointed limbs, and a light brown bear wearing a grey and white checked fabric scarf. The assortment further contains a plush rabbit with dark brown and white fur and internal ear stiffening, a golden plush hand puppet with a stuffed head, and two smaller bears in beige mohair and yellow plush. The toys are constructed using mohair and synthetic plush fabrics, with stuffing characteristic of the period, likely including wood wool.

Condition report:
The collection shows moderate to heavy play wear consistent with age. Thinning and balding of the mohair is evident across several items, most notably on the torso and limbs of the large golden bear. The felt paw pads on the largest bear exhibit significant wear, including some small holes. Surface dirt and general age-related discolouration are present throughout the group. The items remain structurally sound with no major repairs observed.
