Description
A collection of technical drawing and calculating instruments, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. The assembly includes a professional-grade Eco-bra drafting set housed in a brown zippered case with a green velvet-lined interior. This set features a gold-toned metal label inscribed ECO-BRA flanking a central circular logo depicting a castle tower. The instruments are constructed from nickel-plated brass and steel and include several large and small compasses, extension bars, and technical pen attachments. Also included are two rectangular gold-toned metal tins, the lids of which are printed with MARS, a blue circular logo featuring a helmeted head in profile, and STAEDTLER. Calculating tools comprise an Acclaim slide rule in a clear plastic case and a standard white plastic linear slide rule with a cursor, contained within its original black two-part cardboard case. The collection is further comprised of a smaller drafting set in a dark blue case, a secondary set in a black velvet-lined case, a slim brown leather protective pouch, and a printed booklet titled PAPER CALCULATING SLIDE RULE.

Condition report:
The instruments and cases exhibit signs of professional use and age-related wear. The instrument cases show external scuffing, edge wear, and some fading to the interior velvet linings. The cardboard slide rule box has significant wear to the corners and edges with surface loss. The metal tins show minor surface scratches. The instruments themselves have light surface oxidation and minor tarnishing. Mechanical components appear to move freely.
