Description
A silver oval locket pendant featuring a hand-engraved scrolling foliate design to the front face, framed by a twisted rope-style border. The reverse of the locket is plain with a satin-brushed finish. The hinged case opens to reveal an interior with one side lined in red velvet or felt, and the other showing a textured, pebbled metal finish. The locket is suspended from a round-link belcher style chain and is secured by a bolt ring clasp. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible on the metal surfaces.

The locket and chain are in good overall condition. Metal surfaces exhibit light surface scratching and areas of minor tarnish consistent with use. The red interior lining shows some wear and fraying to the edges. The hinge and clasp are in working order.
