Description
A mahogany rectangular box featuring a green felt-lined interior and containing an assortment of vintage items. The underside of the lid is mounted with two octagonal wooden plaques displaying circular metal inserts with lion and elephant motifs, flanking a bottle opener with a handle modelled as a figure in Highland dress. The collection comprises a stainless steel hip flask, a brass souvenir medallion, a decorative tin featuring a blonde woman, a Scottish sgian-dubh in a black textured sheath, a brass-cased compass, manual hair clippers, a silver mesh purse, and a small metal case. The lot is accompanied by a turned wooden candle holder and a painted mallard duck decoy. Legible marks include BEACHY HEAD EASTBOURNE on the medallion, OF ALL THE THINGS I’VE LOST I MISS MY MIND THE MOST on the tin, a decorative letter M on the metal case, and a box printed with Galaxy Projector.

Condition report:
The mahogany box shows surface scratches and wear to the veneer (photo 1). The interior green felt lining exhibits minor wear and fraying near the hinges (photo 2). The metal items, including the hip flask and clippers, show surface oxidation and tarnishing (photo 2). The mallard decoy shows paint loss and rubbing to the beak and body (photo 1). The wooden candle holder displays surface scuffs (photo 1).
