Description
An assortment of professional steel and plastic drafting and technical drawing instruments featuring several boxed sets and individual pieces. The collection includes a Rotring technical pen set with burgundy barrels, one bearing the printed mark rOtring Graphic 0.7 -pigmented ink-, housed in a clear-lidded black case with a rOtring rapid-eraser B30 and a black box of rOtring Germany 1928 Drawing Ink. A black tapered fountain pen is marked with rOtring ArtPen in white script. The drafting instruments comprise multiple sets of steel compasses, including spring-bow models, extension arms, and a black-finished central thumb-screw adjustment compass measuring 16cm in length. Measuring tools include a steel vernier caliper with dual metric and imperial scales and a cylindrical slide rule marked with scales for Spherical volume = 4 pi r³ and Spherical area = 4 pi r². A cream-enamelled metal watercolour palette features an inset brass plaque stamped with REEVES & SONS LONDON below a greyhound device. A boxed writing set contains six slim steel pens and pencils with gold fittings, alongside tubes of 0.5 HB lead and assorted ink cartridges. A silver tapered desk pen is mounted on a heavy circular base.

Condition report:
The Rotring pens and boxed writing set show minimal signs of use (photo 1). The steel drafting compasses and measuring tools exhibit minor surface tarnish but appear mechanically sound (photo 4). The Reeves & Sons palette box shows heavy surface wear, paint staining, and areas of oxidation to the enamel and brass (photo 3). The outer cases for the various sets show minor external scuffing but retain functional hinges and clasps (photo 4).
