Description
A mid-century wood musical jewellery box featuring a dancing ballerina figurine. The rectangular cabinet is constructed from dark-stained wood with a hinged lid opening to reveal a single storage compartment. The front of the cabinet houses a viewing window revealing a miniature theatre-style stage with a three-panel mirrored interior. A central ballerina figurine, crafted from painted plastic with fixed eyes and painted hair, rotates upon a metal spindle. The figurine is dressed in a white fabric tutu decorated with a gold polka-dot pattern. Three turned wood knobs are positioned on the lower front panel for decoration. No maker marks or labels are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.

Condition report:
Surface scratches and small indentations are visible on the top lid (photo 1). Minor wear is present to the finish along the front edges and feet (photo 1). The internal mirrors and glass viewing window appear intact (photo 1). The fabric tutu shows slight yellowing consistent with age (photo 1). The internal compartment and hinges are in good order (photo 2).
