Description
A Silver pendant featuring a central oval cabochon-cut Baltic amber stone of honey-orange body colour. The amber is held in a rub-over setting and displays prominent internal sun spangle inclusions. The gemstone is framed by an ornate openwork border comprising scrolling foliate motifs, and is suspended from a plain circular bail. The reverse of the bail is impressed with a small rectangular mark which is not legible.

Condition report:
The amber cabochon shows no visible chips or surface abrasions (photo 1). The silver setting and openwork border are structurally sound with no visible losses or breaks (photo 2). Minor surface oxidation is present throughout the metalwork (photo 2).
