Lot 150:
Description
A commemorative brass pocket knife featuring two folding stainless steel blades at opposing ends. The handle comprises brass scales embossed with a chronological list of English monarchs and their accession years, spanning from William I in 1066 to George V in 1910. The first side is inscribed with the text DATES KINGS AND QUEENS OF ENGLAND ACCESSION, while the reverse concludes the list below a crown motif and the year 1935. One blade tang is stamped with the characters JOHN WATTS SHEFFIELD ENGLAND and the secondary blade is marked STAINLESS STEEL.
Condition report:
The knife is in good vintage condition. The stainless steel blades exhibit light surface scratching and minor staining near the base (photo 1, 3). Both blades retain their original sharp points (photo 1). The brass scales show a natural aged patina with dark oxidation present within the recessed lettering (photo 2). The folding mechanism is functional.
