Description
A novelty Silver plated dress cane featuring a handle modelled as a polished hand clutching a large clear glass sphere. The handle is mounted to a black lacquered wooden shaft via a matching polished collar decorated with two incised rings. The tapering shaft terminates in a polished ferrule with a black rubber traction tip. The metalwork displays a high-shine finish throughout. There are no maker’s marks or hallmarks visible on the handle, collar, or shaft.
Length: 90 cm.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. Minor surface scratches and pitting are visible on the metal handle and collar (Photos 2 and 5). The black lacquered shaft shows minor scuffs consistent with light use (Photo 1). The glass sphere remains clear with no significant chips or internal fractures (Photo 4). The rubber tip shows minor wear (Photo 1).
