Description
A vintage wood boxed assortment of gentleman’s accessories and collectables comprising a hinged case with a dark polished grain. The interior lid is mounted with five bronze plaques depicting London landmarks including Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. The contents include two metal hip flasks, one with a brown leather wrap, and a circular wood-cased barometer featuring a white face with weather indicators and a central brass dial. An enamel Mercedes Benz emblem is present alongside a stack of illustrated cigarette cards and a leather cup marked Players. Further items include a card box for Grant’s Stand Fast matches, several circular plates set with multi-coloured glass cabochons in a Celtic style, and a carved white elephant figure. The lot is completed by a metal golfer plaque, wooden shoe trees, a maroon-handled awl, and a small leather pouch. The lid plaques are inscribed WESTMINSTER ABBEY, THE COUNTY HALL, and BIG BEN. The leather cup is marked Players and the matchbox is marked Grant’s STAND FAST.

Condition report:
The wood box shows surface scratches and finish wear throughout, particularly to the exterior edges and lid (photo 1). The metal flasks and interior lid plaques exhibit tarnishing and surface oxidation (photo 2). The leather cup and hip flask wrap show visible scuffing and age-related wear (photo 1). The matchbox and cigarette cards display edge wear and discolouration consistent with age (photo 3).
